According to Vorsight’s research (www.vorsight.com), when you call a direct dial number, you are 3X more likely to reach the person. If this is true, then why aren’t more sales people data scrubbing their lists before they call their prospect?
Maybe because they don’t know this is possible! It is. Scrub your leads, get the direct dial numbers, talk to more people, convert more deals!
And when you do dial direct, I’ve found a lot of success by blocking my number (press *146). It may seem sneaky but it works very well, especially when the area code I’m dialing from usually is not recognized by the person on the other end.
